In 2010, Ford turned the tried-and-true F150 platform into the ultimate factory off-roading pickup truck with the release of the Raptor – you might even call the Raptor a “special edition” of the regular F-150. Almost immediately, it became an iconic (and popular) vehicle in the Ford fleet, with a sea of aftermarket options available for those who enjoy wrenching on their trucks. And as usual, the good old boys at Roush Performance just couldn’t leave well enough alone, and waved their magic wands at the Raptor to make something great even better. There’s no stone left unturned, and the result is the one of the greatest Raptors to date. Off-road-Inspired Performance On any Roush vehicle, the engine is going to be the chief focal point, but this Raptor deviates a little from their usual modus operandi. There’s no huge supercharger bolted to this motor, or crazy horsepower or torque figures

Although the technology is nothing new, 6x6 vehicles remain extremely uncommon in the marketplace today. It’s a pretty safe bet that the only 6x6s from the past few decades that remains in the awareness of the average person are the legendary creations based on the Mercedes-Benz G Class vehicles – most notably the G 63 AMG 6x6, cemented into automotive history by one iconic Top Gear episode. However, there’s a new kid on the block that is every bit as ludicrous, capable and eye-catching as the Mercedes. The model Texans at Hennessey Performance have been “making fast cars faster” since 1991, and have made serious waves in the automotive industry quite a few times throughout their history; perhaps most notably with the Hennessey Venom GT, once the fastest street-legal car in the world. Aside from their own bespoke creations, Hennessey is likely most widely known for upgrading and tuning Ford vehicles,

The All-American answer to the monumental Mercedes-AMG G63 6×6 is the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6, and it was presented as part of the SEMA Show. The largest fair of tuned cars and tuning equipment in the world, which is being held these days in Las Vegas, is the logical place for the premiere of this modified Ford F-150 Raptor. But the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 bears little resemblance to the standard Ford F-150 Raptor on which it is based. By installing two turbochargers on the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine, the power exceeded 550 HP. Brembo supplied the racing brakes, the wheels are 20-inch with Toyo all-terrain tires, and power is sent to the chassis via all six wheels. The 6x6 VelociRaptor comes with 6×6 locking rear axles, upgraded 20-Inch Wheels and off-road tires, an intercooler piping upgrade, a stainless steel exhaust system, and a 3 Year / 36,000-mile warranty. The Fast and Furious-esque Ford also
